Avatars
1. Board avatars (and all other graphics) are copyrighted and should not be used without the permission of the site team.
2. All members are allowed to upload their own custom avatar on the board.
3. All member avatars MUST RELATE TO THE BOARD THEME (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr. Horrible, or other Whedon-related media). (Off topic custom avatars may only be used by board staff. It is a 'perk' for the work they do.)
4. When uploading custom avatars, please be sure to use a 400 x 400 square image.
5. Avatars that are too small, off topic, or which the staff deems inappropriate may be removed without prior notice by the site staff.
6. The ability to have custom avatars is a privilege, and if it becomes a problem we will return to only allowing selection from a pre-made avatar gallery.
7. A selection of pre-made avatars will be made available for use and displayed in the board gallery. You may also request that your old board avatar be made available on the new board by posting in the request thread in the Help forum.
8. We do not accept avatar submissions.
The best thing to do is to add pictures you would like to the gallery, which is where we get the pics for avatars. Please do not add pre-made avatars, as we will not add them. Only show-related pictures are acceptable.
How to select an avatar to use from the Media Gallery:
1. Navigate to the Avatar category of the Media Gallery and find the avatar you want to use. Click on the avatar to open it in it's own Media Gallery page.
2. At the top right, under the banner with information about the person who uploaded the file, there is a row of icons. The very right one is a dropdown that takes you to "More Options". Click on this.
3. When the menu opens, click on "Set as Avatar".
