I just wanna know about everyone’s awesome pets. I’ve got about 3 dozen birds (chickens, ducks) 3 cats, 1 dog, 5+ snakes, 3 lizards, 5 turtles, 2 parakeets, and 3 fish (one wonderful betta, Eddie).

Perhaps I’ll share some photos of them here later, if anyone’s interested! What about you guys? Do you have any pets? Are there any animals you’re considering adopting into the family?

I have an imaginary cat. It's currently sitting on my dining table. I haven't picked out a name for it yet.

This past year has made me want to get another cat even more than before, but unfortunately I can't; we're not allowed pets in my building and I can't currently afford to feed another being besides myself 🙁

Aww. I wish you could get a cat, they make life so much more fun. At least when you are ready to get one, you know they’ll be no shortage of them, especially if you’re able to adopt from a shelter/rescue.

No pets for me, even if I was allowed to I wouldn't. Too much of a tie, which is bad enough when I have to look after my mother's animals.

That’s understandable. As much as I love my pets, I get tired of all the birds. They’re quite messy and take a while to care for.

I have two rescue cats called Saffy and Ziggy. They were named when I got them and I tend to use nicknames for them like Savla, Saffina, Ziggimandes etc. I'm really a dog person but with working long hours I decided against another dog as cats are much easier.

Bunnies are great for full time workers 😁

I have a Ziggy, too!! I sometimes shorten it to “Zigs.”

I've got two bunnies - Boy and Daisy. They spend most of their life grumping under the sofa - but they occasionally come out to eyeball me, chew on anything cardboard they can find and demand to be fed. They have spent the past few days unwrapping my dad's christmas present (their's is wrapped up right next to, it's edilble ... no interest), I've finally had to confiscate it - they're not happy.

Dogs, sheep, and chickens here, all pets and rescues. The sheep even have their own Christmas tree, which they love. My ram is really sweet, but my favorite is the youngest. She acts more like a dog than a sheep. The dogs are a bit rough, which I like, but they're my babies, always stealing my bed. The latest pooch is about 90 pounds of mischief, can climb trees, likes his own way, and just about half killed me on hiking trails two years ago. 😂 I love that dog.

2 new additions to the family are arriving next week!!! Here is a photo of Ozzy (grey) and Gismo (black and white).
Oh and yeah they are half Maine Coon!!!! Should be interesting!!

I have a cat, Luna (and I'm allergic to cats but interestingly not to her) that we found back in June that was around our house, poor thing was maybe 4 months old when we found her. Now she's spoiled and loved haha.

This aged well 😝

I have a dog whom everyone keeps refering to as a ”pony” or ”horse”, which fair enough, I keep having go buy horse stuff for him… his name is Dmitry (from a Dostoevsky book) and he lives up to his namesake.

Next pet I’m naming ”saint” or ”super obedient”

Yeah, but he was going free and he just had to live with me!

He's named after a Saint, so I wouldn't bother with that, he's still a little terror!
