GoSpuffy
Vampire Lover, I mean Slayer
I'd say more about what I like about Spike and Buffy together but unfortunately like Spike I can't spell most of it. 🙂
Now Fuffy...there you have the potential for angsty, hot lust and sweet romance where they understand each other on another level.
If Buffy is all light then what the hell was her S6 arc about?
Neither has Angel.
Angel was able, as a human no less, to out-stamina a slayer. That's pretty much all the confirmation I need about his sexual prowess. Would Spike be able to do the same? How would we even know if the sex between Buffy and Angel would stay vanilla as you call it? Whedon never allowed them to go there, they flirted with it during the Angelus arc but the show was too young to go the darkness route at that point. Besides didn't Buffy and Angel have sex through a mountain, in space and buttom of the ocean? Far from vanilla that.
Of course he wouldn't. Guy is incabable of standing on his own to feet. He always needs Buffy's skirt or Angel's duster to hang on to.
Except when he fault people for saying or doing the same things he does and calls them idiots. Or when he shoves responsibility for his deeds on everyone else.
as dull as a table lamp.
Angelus.Angel killed Ms. Calendar, Buffy's friend, Giles gf, pretty unforgivable.
Angelus killed Ms. Calendar. The topic is Bangel vs. Spuffy. Not Bangelus vs Spuffy.Angel killed Ms. Calendar, Buffy's friend, Giles gf, pretty unforgivable.
Her S6 darkness was directly related to her ressurection and the issues she had with that. Spike was just one vehicle through which she expressed it. Had nothing to with Spike himself except for the part where he mentally and emotionally abused her to keep her depressed. Her S6 darkness arc was directly connected to Spike.
What exactly is the definition of vanilla and non-vanilla? A pair of handcuffs, some BDSM? What? Sex is sex...as long as it's fun and makes you feel good what does it matter whether it's 'vanilla' or not? But I'll take vanilla any day over Buffy looking like a dead fish while Spike is rotting away between her legs next to a dumpster. And I especially take vanilla when it means the guy doesn't make her feel like crap afterwards.Buffy and Angel's crazy comic sex was still kinda vanilla in my opinion.
He beat a depressed Angel. It's not hard to hit a person when they are already down. And that was the only time he ever won a fight againt Angel. Human Angel kicked Spike's ass twice afterwards. Hell puppet Angel kicked his ass. He didn't fight for his soul to be a better man, he wanted his soul to get into a girl's pants. He beat Angel in a fair fight in Season 5 of Angel, he actually fought for a soul, fought to be a better man, and Angelus hates Buffy. I guess I just tend to root for the underdog.
How did he improve? Has he found a way to be able to provide for himself? Does he have friends and family of his own? Does he train or read to become a better evil fighter? Does he have missions or goals of his own aside from Buffy?I just prefer Spike because I think he proved himself, flaws and all.

think the quote was 'proved himself' not improved? But yeah, he improved all right. He went from an unsoulde vampire whos hobby was to hunt slayers to a souled one who fight at a slayer's side. Best improvement of all the buffyverse. How did he improve?
Has he found a way to be able to provide for himself?
Does he have friends and family of his own?
training and reading? yeah I heard he's going to school every morning 😀Does he train or read to become a better evil fighter? Does he have missions or goals of his own aside from Buffy?
I'm not taking any power away from Buffy. But it's pretty clear that a well adjusted, mentally stable Buffy would have never let Spike touch her. Not even re-written Dawnverse Buffy. And they have made it pretty clear that Spike knew just what to say in order to keep her depressed so he could get his jollies. But then that's what abusers do and Spike was the metaphor for the abusive boyfriend in S6.I think it takes Buffy's power away to claim " Spike emotionally abused her to keep her depressed." I think she was depressed and made big girl choices on how to deal with that. Spike could never control Buffy. Some people might even find what Buffy did really relatable (maybe they didn't die themselves but dealt with death). A lot of times a persons romantic choice reflects there emotional self. Buffy wanted to feel something, she chose Spike for that. Spike allowed her to explore her own darkness. Joss likes to play with metaphor, I think that's obv here.
Way to contradict yourself. So Angelus's deeds count against Angel but Spike's don't count against souled Spike. Typical.neither bangelus vs spuffylus
it's too convenient to dismiss bad things unsouled angel did while considering those done by unsouled Spike
that was... Spikelus
That's only if you believe Whedon's party line of 'soul quest'. I'll go with James Marsters who said chip-ectomy. And even if he went to get a soul it had nothing to do with becoming a better person/man and all to do with the girl.think the quote was 'proved himself' not improved? But yeah, he improved all right. He went from an unsoulde vampire whos hobby was to hunt slayers to a souled one who fight at a slayer's side. Best improvement of all the buffyverse.
I was obviously talking about later years not when he was sired. And no they aren't his friends. They are Buffy's, always have been. Since I don't read the comics I go by the shows and all his 'friends' were either Buffy's or Angel's.family? a 100 years old vampire? hardly lol
friends, he's good on his own doesn't really need them because not everyone needs friends. but yes he has and the best part is that they are the same that hated him in the past. xander being the first and that show how much he improved
You might want to dial it down a notch with your tone, just saying. Obviously I wasn't talking about school. But Riley trained as a soldier. Angel trained both physical and in regards to knowledge. Spike is always just...there. He doesn't have to do much of anything since the writers just hand it to him. That will never work for me.training and reading? yeah I heard he's going to school every morning 😀
missions and goals he's been on his own in s8 and 9, now he works on Buffy's side like a lot of couples do. This just proves that he's not the kind of man who can't accept to be second to a woman
? But I'll take vanilla any day over Buffy looking like a dead fish while Spike is rotting away between her legs next to a dumpster. And I especially take vanilla when it means the guy doesn't make her feel like crap afterwards.?

Well Buffy looked like she rather be dead. Either that or she was going over her grocery list in her head.Haha love this! Also - very true. What a gross scene.
Spike fans, obviously. And yes it was a contradiction on your end. You said Angelus bad deeds count against Angel and shouldn't be easily dismissed. The you said what happened in S6 was Spikelus. Contradiction right there. Either it counts against both or neither.Typical of who? Pretty sure we don't know each other
How did he improve? When he ran back to Buffy despite what he did to her at the end of S6? When he blamed S6 on Buffy? When he murdered people? And no the trigger excuse doesn't work there since he could control himself fine to stop killing Buffy. Or was it when he was a major asshole to the son of one of his former victims and then put her skin, I mean coat, back on? Or was it when he blamed 120 of murder, rape and torture on Angel? Or that time he actually used the words 'putting it to her' in regards to him and Buffy in S6? Which is both disrespectful and disgusting considering Buffy was depressed and weak at the time.Even if Spike did it only for Buffy, he still improved
Eh don't care about the fanfiction. I don't read the comics so I go by the show canon. Comics aren't my kind of fan fiction (to quote Whedon). Spike didn't have friends in the show, not even Dawn. As soon as he got between Buffy's legs she was nothing to him.yeah I wasn't talking of when he was sired either. and yes they are totally also his friends. It happens that people and couples 'exchange' friends, doesn't make them less friends. In the comics Xander and Spike are even sharing an apartment now, they are best buddies
Ok then. How is Spike providing anything in terms of rent, repairs, food, booze and cigarettes? From what we have seen in the show he took money from the scoobies, mugged people, kitten poker, trafficing demon eggs. Don't see anything of substance which means he was just mooching off of Buffy's and Angel's family and friends.nothing wrong with my tone, may be you are too sensitive? Obviously I wasn't talking about school either. Was another joke and I honestly thought you were joking as well because... sorry, I just think it's funny
Buffy: I killed Angel. Do you even remember that? I would've given up everything I had to be with - I loved him more than I will ever love anything in this life and I putl a sword through his heart because I had to.
Spike fans, obviously.
