Best boyfriend/girlfriend in the Buffyverse

Hey all,

I was wondering who you thought was the best boyfriend and girlfriend in the whole verse. They don't have to be a couple just which character seemed like the greatest to be paired with! Here are my choices:

Boyfriend: Gunn (in his relationship with Fred)
Girlfriend: Cordelia (in her relationship with Xander in season 3)

What are yours?

Oz was a near perfect boyfriend for quite a while, even with Willow cheating on him. And the Veruca thing was pretty unfortunate and not exactly Oz's fault.

I do agree Cordelia was a good girlfriend especially considering what we had seen from her, but I'd say the best girlfriend was Tara to Willow. She almost always did the right thing and was what Willow needed.

Willow & Tara Halllie & Spike still love that they you to date wish they showed it at least in flashbacks Xander & Willow as children Amy & Percy Vampire Harmony & vampire Jesse. Giles & JOYCE.

Buffy to Riley was great indeed! Especially in S4!

Girlfriend - Season 2 Cordelia for Xander, and Tara to Willow always, but especially Season 6.

Boyfriend - Angel for Buffy, in that he always has her best interests at heart. And I like Oz a whole lot, but the events of “Wild At Heart” and “New Moon Rising” can leave a super sour aftertaste.
(Love him in “Restless”, though.)

Buffy to Riley was great indeed!

How was Buffy to Riley great? She treated him horribly. Maybe moreso in S5.

I think Willow has the best luck in terms of partners - Oz was the best bf in the verse, Tara the best gf but that's great because I love Willow.

I think they were equaly great if not perfect for each other in S4. S5 is a different story...

Spike was a good boyfriend to Drusilla, not to Buffy though.
Oz was a good boyfriend to Willow 99.9% of the time.
Angel was a god boyfriend to Buffy until he became Angelus.

I don't think any character can be called the "best" because they all screw up in some form, except the guy who sent Joyce flowers after their date and she died before they could go out again.

The best boyfriend in the verse is Gunn (as much as I love Angel, he comes with a lot of brooding, emotional baggage, & well ya know he ain't getting any older.)
Angel was still a good boyfriend, just not better than Gunn.

Best girlfriend in the verse is probably Tara. She was really good to Willow.
