A new festival celebrating all things Buffy the Vampire Slayer is set to take place just outside Glasgow this month.
The first Buffyfest event will be held at Browns Lane in Paisley, and the organisers say it will be packed with themed live performances, craft stalls, bars, and food offerings.
Icey Promotions announced the pop-up day will be held on October 17, from noon to 8pm, at the Browns Lane Creative Hub, which offers a unique space in the heart of Paisley Town Centre for makers to come together and create.
The team confirmed the free entry event will feature two intimate live cabaret shows, all themed around the wildly popular TV show, while vampiric vibes continue throughout the day with music from the iconic Bronze bar and show and the chance to sing along with the ‘Once More, with Feeling’ episode.
Buffy-related treats and other gothic treasures will be available via a pop-up market, and hunger can be sated with street food and Buffy-themed ice cream and cocktails.
Fancy dress is welcome, and attendees are invited to shapeshift into their favourite member of the Scooby Gang or Big Bad, with a prize awarded to the best dressed, while vintage Buffy prizes can be won through the Buffy Raffle and ‘Big Bad’ bingo, which invites slayers to find all the Buffy villains for a chance to win.
The event runs from 12-8pm, and access is free (excluding the cabaret shows, which are ticketed).
The organisers stated that the cabaret shows, which are strictly 18 and over, start at approximately 3pm and 6pm. Tickets are £13 per show and can be bought online or on the day, pending availability, but they added that they are selling fast and advised to buy early to "avoid disappointment".
All ages are welcome to the main event, but under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Owner of Icey Promotions, Jamie McDermid, added that all profits made from stall rental, will go towards a free to access Pet food bank.
The founder of the company, which organises regular goth styled and horror themed events in Glasgow and Paisley, said: "The beautiful folk at Brown’s Lane have let me take over the gaff again for a complete Buffy the Vampire themed day.
"We are excited to invite Buffy fans and anyone who loves spooky cabaret and fun to our first Buffyfest on 17 October 2026. With two Buffy themed live cabaret shows and a vibrant range of stalls and food and drink offerings, there is bound to be a little something darkly special and unique for everyone. We promise we won’t bite!"
