Exercise Support

Activity wise I have really slowed down in the heat, but the weight is still melting off me, despite the docs saying there was not a thing I could do to shift it with dercums. So who knows. Maybe the rule of the SSRIs and antipsychotics was right, the forums said it would take half as many years to recover from them as I was on them. I was on them 14 years and have been off them around 7 years now, so maybe my body is finally recovering. Those drugs were what packed on the weight in the first place. I duno, we'll see if its sustainable I guess.

My pants are falling off and I dont wana buy new ones, so maybe I should invest in more butter or body building.

I pretty much just walk the dogs and do my house and yard work. That is enough to exhaust me. The pool isnt open yet but even then, I just want to float. Washing my hair is such a painful chore, I dont need any more of them.

I wore my fat pants for about a year... Because it was so cool to have roomy clothes. Not looking like a sausage in a casing was neat!
I went to my well woman and found I'd gained almost all my weight back! I've been doing strength training 3x a week and cardio 2-3x a week so it's frustrating!

Diet is the hardest thing because I stress eat, and I can't get the hang of meal prep, especially not with a kid in school and a toddler.

I did crush my workout today! And the day before I did a full 30 minute jog! I have never done that before! I am so proud of myself! It was a slow jog, but it wasn't a walk!

Remember, weight isn't the only measure! Measuring inches also helps. You can lose fat but build muscle and therefore seem to put on weight, but muscle tissue is denser than fat, so your overall inches may drop. As long as you aren't measuring muscles (and building your pecs can also increase other measurements in an amusing way).

You're right!

I didn't have any of my current jeans to wear today, and it's windy and cold, so on a lark I pulled out my old size 12 jeans and they actually fit me, without a belt. I've been wearing a size 14, so this made me very happy.

Sadly my favorite Tripp pants are a size 13 and ironically too tight in the thigh and seat. Boo! Might be the cut is different from my jeans though.

Odd number clothes are cut differently from even number clothes.
As i recall, even numbers are 'misses' which is average female sizes.
Odd numbers are 'juniors' (which means less curvy than the average woman)
Therefore a 13 may be "bigger" than 12 (perhaps in the waist) but would be narrower in the hips (and bust for tops)

BTW congrats on your new leaner body. FYI - if someone else has not said it, muscle weighs more than fat. It also burns more fuel and is better for your cardiovascular system. So, yay, you!🎊🎋🎆

thanks for the explanation!!

And thank you!

I can do pushups now! Real ones! I know I'm getting stronger, I keep having to add more weight when I'm in the gym lol. I'm also definitely gaining cardio endurance from my treadmill sessions and I can see my arms getting more defined. My husband has noticed I feel leaner and firmer in the torso and glutes, too.

The belly is so hard though.. I have diastasis recti from two large babies, but I have been doing the PT to work on closing it. Three finger gap went to two finger gap back last year when I was going to PT at the office, but I have a nifty app with my session!
