Hey! Newbie who just finished watching BTVS

All I remember was hearing my older sister gasp one night because of something she was watching on Netflix. I looked behind her shoulder and saw a blonde girl shakily pointing a gun towards this super pale, dark-haired guy with an awfully long Matrix-looking coat. Even though I had no idea what was going on, the intensity of that scene (plus the 90s fashion overload) made me want to keep on watching. That was a couple of months ago and now that I've watched the entire BTVS series, I'm so glad my sister was around to unintentionally introduce me to this show.

So yeah, that's how I got into watching Buffy. Part of me wishes I would've been born earlier so that I could've watched the show when it was actually airing on TV, but at the same time I'm not sure I could cope with the suspense of waiting an entire week to find out what happens next (I legitimately cannot imagine how it must've felt to watch Becoming Part 1 and Part 2 when they first aired– those episodes were i 👏n👏 t 👏e 👏n 👏s 👏e).

Anyway, I made this account a couple of weeks ago after realizing how often I checked this site for Buffy/Angel-related questions. I also really like the idea of being able to discuss the shows with a huge community of people who also have a deep appreciation for BTVS.

Hope to check Buffy Boards more often and get to know some of the people on this site!
 
Welcome! Your first ever episode was I Only Have Eyes For You! That's a great first episode and I can see how you were drawn in 🙂 Look forward to seeing you around the boards and hearing more of your feedback. Like @NileQT87 I'll throw in my pitch for Angel the Series if you haven't watched it yet I hope you'll give it a shot!

I had the same reaction! I only watched BtVS for the first time around 2 years ago and completely fell in love! But I'm glad I watched it while mature enough to understand all the themes developed in the show.
Anyway, welcome to the boards! We talk about everything on here so you'll find what you want 😉

it a great series you did luck out missing the series not sure which episodes you saw but the body and seeing red has the most shocking ending check out family season 5 still my favourite episode.

I think they were describing I Only Have Eyes For You right? When in Angel is there a girl pointing a gun and shaking? Darla is the only one with guns and she is pretty confident. Plus Angel isn’t wearing his long coat then. That was my guess anyway!

hush is great high school years the wish I robot you jane. witch the pack and the season premier of season 2 love the ending it still makes me cry.

Overall, it was a pretty good season, but I literally hated Connor for the entirety of it. Just when things would start settling down, Connor would literally come in and throw a curveball at everyone. Apart from that, I loved the whole Angelus bit and I'm really happy that Fred's turning into this badass, independent character.
