Today was TIRING. Lots of running around, lots of errands for that last minute Halloween prep.

Sitting down now that the kids are in bed with a nice mug of tea watching Leverage before getting back to my writing.
 
Just saw this. Meghan's dad is accused of doing naughty things with minors...but those allegations are a bit dodgy. The Palace buried this in 2019, so why has it suddenly reappeared? (That's a rhetorical question, by the way)

I was invited to friends' house for dinner. Good dinner and no trouble driving my car in the dark (and rain) for the first time. On the way back, I decided to go through a street known for really decorating for Halloween. Pretty amazing! A lot of people do a theme, like Harry Potter, and I know they get hundreds of people on Halloween.,
 
Too social today. I don't like the small town chit chats. I like my chats on the internet, where I can turn them off!

I love my house so much, its so cute and has so much character and the birds in the garden are so lovely to listen too. Plus my neighbours are far enough that I can blast music, dance and play my clarinet. Best Bonus is that I can afford to live alone. Its just so hard some days. I would go to the pool twice a day if it wasnt so far to drive.

Lady today said to me that I used to be so fat and chunky but now I am young and attractive.... Not sure how since I get older everyday. I said getting skinnier must just be a thing that happens when you get old. She was hinting that she wanted a lift to kmart because she's so old and skinny now her pants were falling off. But I think that was really cos of the meth.

I wouldn't be giving a ride to anyone who indicated I used to be fat, but "got better." Rude!
I felt better rested this morning, with the extra hour to sleep (change to Standard Time here in the US). I'm not enjoying the sun going down at 4:50 today, though. I wish we could stick with one time standard! Also, my car's clock is off, and I haven't gotten to that page in the manual yet.

I went with a friend to the zoo today, and the baby gorillas are big enough now that their moms let them play in front of the window. They are so cute! The zoo had a display for Dia de los Muertos, where you could memorialize a lost pet, which was touching. I got a pumpkin shake afterward, which was much better than it sounds.
 
It was relatively cool and overcast today here. I helped my wife finished transplanting some day lilies' that we got from one of my bandmates in a new raised flower bed we set up. Got it done and it looks great. Hopefully they will all come back next year.
 
I went to the pool this morning.

I often see little spiders floating through the air with their webs in the wind over the pool. Tiny flying spiders. They dont worry me.

Today a large spider was WALKING ON THE WATER! I pushed waves towards it and the damn thing scuttled over those waves like they were solid ground. I had to swim a bit faster to get away from it. It looked like a bitey one.

The rest of the day has been pretty uneventful. Walkies, post office, cooked some potatoes and watched the BBAU live stream. I had a migraine aura hit me this arvo but it was also blowy rainy to clear blue weather and its not as bad now that the sun has gone down.

I have some new pretty pink cotton yarn to use, so I am going to look for a delicate little pattern to do with that. I have the right knitting needles ready to go, so all I need now is a pattern that I like!
