Is this show even worth watching?

Did it do anything “new” with narrative construction like Dollhouse (which actually got its Epitaph One inspiration from Babylon 5)? Were the characters interesting? Was it funny? Or just same old same old?
 
Well I didn't get past the first episode and I think it got cancelled pretty sharpish. Probably not would be my guess.
 
Have you ever heard of a Joss show that doesn't have a legion of stans? To me, it just came off as Sarte trying to join the student radicals in 1968.

I personally really enjoyed the show, at least the first six episodes. I think it has many of the elements that we enjoyed about Whedon's previous shows and two very excellent leading ladies. Had it not been for Whedon's declining reputation, I think it would have been received more warmly, though I think in classic Whedon fashion, it did not arrive fully-formed, it was still figuring itself out before he got fired.

Whether the show did anything groundbreaking and new? Probably not. I admired Whedon as a teenager, but is kind of using the same archetypes and the same type of writing throughout his career - to great effect though.

I'd say the first six episodes are very much worth it, but the second half under a new show runner and writing team is terrible. it takes out all the nuance and dimension and makes everything more cartoonish.
