Meeting James Marsters

I got to meet James Marsters at a convention recently.
He was so nice and fun to talk to.
I can't believe I finally got to meet one of the cast members!!
He couldn't have been more down to earth.
Have any of you met James or other cast members? And what was your experience like?

Glad you got to have a great experience with James. I've read he is an absolute delight with fans, and very engaging.

I've never been to a convention myself (hoping to change that in the future) nor met anyone from BTVS/AtS. I do wonder how many of our lovely members here have met one of the actors!
 
Very cool 🙂 did you get a photo too? I have no idea how these actors cope being the centre of attention all day. It must be exhausting!

So lucky! I would love to meet him. Did you get a photo? I heard from other people that he would pose with the guest and that is really cute.
 
James and David were guests of Total Request Live on MTV when I was in the audience. It was taped in London back in 2004. As they were walking out I tried to make contact with them. When James heard I had travelled in from abroad he shook my hand and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I totally didn't expect that. But it made my day. 🤩

I also attended the Halloween convention the same weekend. But I couldn't afford to pay for photos. So I have no pictures of them with me. Just one that I took when they were on stage.

I met James Masters a few years ago, very friendly. And a few other Buffy/Angel actors, Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Charisma Carpenter. Never met the slayers, had to settle for getting their autographs on eBay.
 
I would love to meet Sarah Michelle Gellar or Eliza Dushku but I've heard that Sarah especially is rare!
 
I'm kind of hoping the reboot might draw her out, perhaps Sarah will go on the convention circuit to promote the new show!
 
I have met James over ten years ago. Had a great exchange. Got to tell him about how he inspired me to sing. Also got him talking about his experience with SMG during season 6. We also took a photo. It felt pretty surreal as he kind of acted like Spike 🤣 Some actors are completely different from the characters they play, but I definitely could see some William the Bloody in James.

I also met Eliza a few years after that. I didn't expect her to be at the convention I went to, but she was there so I spoke with her a bit and got a photo. She looked happy! Less chatty than James, that's for sure.

I've also met Nicholas Brendon (Xander), Mark Lutz (Groo), and the guy who played The Master. 🤣

Never got to meet SMG, Charisma, ASH, and Andy Hallett. Those would have been my other picks.
