Look, I was going to love this one regardless. It was clever in its mass appeal. Anyone can enjoy this movie. Fun. It would have been fantastic on the big screen.

In my current fan frenzy, I would have liked to see more, split into two movies, a little more depth. The child actor was underutilised and could have carried a whole film on his own. I can see why they didn't make it like that, the lack of background characters would have been more jarring. It really is just a film about Michael. I don't know how much computer technology they used in this but there were moments where Jaafar looked eerily similar to Michael. He did a good job. The scenes with the animals looked straight out of the Watchtower. I really enjoyed it and considering it finished with "His Story" continues, I assume the next one will focus on the History tour. I hope the next one is similar in style in that it sticks to his story alone and doesnt veer off into anyone else idea of his life outside of the music. I will be seeing that one in the cinema for sure! The music, the dancing, its all a lot of family level fun and to be enjoyed to the fullest. Highly recommend 😀

Stars: Kurt Russell & James Spader
Rating: 8/10

Though I prefer the television series take on the property, the film that started it all is no slouch in the quality department. The concept is reasonably original and, though the plot is pretty simple, it does everything it needs to do to engage the audience and let them have a good time. It is heavily amplified by its characters, specifically Daniel Jackson and Jack O'Neill, who are likable and just complex enough to seem like real people. Of course, the acting from Spader and Russell, both very talented, does a lot to help this along. It still holds up thirty years later.

Memorable Quote: "Say hello to King Tut for me, a**hole."

Insidious The Red Door- 2/10 Not Scary. Completely Pointless. Watched this as I was going to go see Insidious Out of the Further today but decided to see Spider Man Brand New Day instead.

Spiderman: Brand New Day- 5/10. Not great. Had me emotional for a minute early on but it ended up dragging; could've been edited down a bit and I just don't see myself ever wanting to watch it again. I think Spider man (2002) is still the best because it was just so much more simple in the best kind of way.

Agreed. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 are the quintessential Spider-Man films. Although I like Tom Holland's acting in the role (though not as much as Tobey Maguire), his Peter has been let down by his films. This was their chance to really reset and it doesn't look like they pulled it off.

The Spy - 7/10

Pierce Brosnan stars as a former CIA agent brought back from retirement to bring a current spy out of Russia. She is killed and he goes looking for why it happened. It turns out she had proof that Arkady Federov who was in line to become the next president of Russia had arranged a false flag operation in Serbia where he and the CIA collapsed a building in Serbia with Russian soldiers in it in order to start the next Serbian war. He then has to get another Serbian refugee girl out of Russia who also knows about it.

also agreed, im a big fan of spiderman movies but with tom its looks like they try everything to please the audience with the flavor of the day. Even the punisher and Hulk couldnt save this movie. And for example Deadpool is way cooler, wittier and a cash magnet.

Generally, Spider-Man is Marvel's number one earner, like Batman is for DC (and, ironically, they're my favorite characters at each company), but the movies just haven't been good. They've been profitable, no doubt, but that doesn't equate to quality.
