Should vampires really exist in real life?

Some vampires portrayed in this series (Buffy/Angel) are (possibly inaccurately) portrayed as good, if I believe they are usually portrayed in other franchise as pure evil blood-sucking immortal creatures of the night. So should vampires really exist?

My own answer: No, they shouldn't as vampires are usually shown to be pure evil creatures of the night that live forever. I don't want to live forever without a soul and I don't want vampires to take over the world and converting all humans into vampires. That would be my worst nightmare ever. 🙁

That would be bad for the vampires, too, because they would have no one left to eat 😉
 
I would be very unsettled having another species of human intelligence around so no I don't think they should exist in real life lol
 
Vampires do exist in real life. Telling a group of people they should not exist is pretty much frowned upon in this day and age.
 
The twilight saga and the Vampire diaries also know "good" vampires, who don`t kill humans. But as those are the exception and never the rule, I doN´t think, vampires should exist in the real world.

I wouldn`t object to (ensouled) Spike existing in the real world though......sigh....

I just remembered I had a dream about bats last night. Large ones. Sort of invading the sky in the suburbs where I live. Wonder if it's a portent....😛
 
I wouldn't want to be a Buffyverse vampire, nor do I think they should be given quarter (though a few who manage to integrate into society does enter a quandary for me). That said, I'm more pragmatic about it than zealous the way demon hunters tend to be. (Perhaps it's worth noting that I don't feel the same way about demon kind in general as I do about vampires specifically since not all demons are particularly evil in the same way as vampires.)

That said, I did enjoy playing Vampire: the Masquerade as a kid, though, and that was a fun game of let's pretend. I think I could adjust to a life like that, though it's not without it's price (of many things, both immediate to the centuries ahead). Those vampires are different from the ones in Buffy, though.

I think they could exist. Why not? There are stranger things in the world and why not have another predator in the world.... besides mmm most of them seem to be sexy as hell!!!!! lol
 
Yeah, I vote no. It's hard enough dealing with emotional and energy vampires of the symbolic variety to have to deal with the literal kind too.
 
Plus, the taste of blood is gross. That reason by itself is why I wouldn't want to be one. And I love the dark but I also love the sun.
