So what's the concensus David Boreanaz being the new Jim Rockford?

Just curious to hear how others feel about this! For me, he's done a great job with everything else he's touched so I think this won't be anything but great as well.

To be honest never heard of Jim Rockford, i looked it up, a 70's series with James Garner, i think he can pull it of, hope the car makes his comeback! Gonna watcg them soon the original series

This is news to me, too! I will have to tell an older friend who loves the old Rockford reruns. Of course, that probably means he won't like the new version. Anyway, I think David will be great as the character, and it will be a different role for him, with less action. Though I can't recall how much Rockford had to fight people, as I've only seen a couple zodes long ago.

I guess we'll see if it gets picked up for a second season. I'm currently watching SEAL Team (two more seasons to go) and enjoying it. Not a perfect show by any means, of course.

He's had the most success, one successful television series after another, so only time will tell.

Because he plays the same TV action star style role, hes not exactly doing Shakespeare and he knows it so he gets regular work.
He's a big guy so looks perfect for that role

I think DB will be fine as Jim Rockford. The bigger question is whether the show itself will be any good. You can have the best actors in the world, but they won't be able to save a bad show.

I think he'll kill it. I've seen reruns of the show and I think DB will be great in the role. He's super charismatic and handsome just like James Garner, too, so I think as long as the writing is good the show will be a success.
