After having to nope out of the last Spuffy fic I tried, I have been happy to find myself enjoying this one. There are definitely still some Buffyverse "politics" that I disagree with, in terms of soul canon, etc., but the story is compelling enough that I've been able to set that aside for 18 chapters (only 10 more to go!).
