So there I was watching the film, I couldn't resist the temptation, so here it is


 
Hayley Williams' new album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is so so so good!

Zissou with its perfect pace, vibe and lyrics is my top track "I don't mind wasting my time in my mind" 💓

Other top tracks
True Believer -- über eerie, haunting vibe which I am usually a sucker for but Hayley is great at weaving melodic hooks and the lyrics are interesting... 'they say Jesus is the way but then they gave him a white face so they don't have to pray to someone they deem lesser than them"...

Ice in my OJ - such a good song for parties

Disappearing Man- alt pop perfection

& the title track Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is also alt pop perfection; I love the lyrics and 90s feel

The entire album has such a great VIBE! I've read reviews saying it sounds like 90s No Doubt & Breeders (two of my favorites, along with Veruca Salt, Julianna Hatfield, Liz Phair, Natalie Imbruglia etc..) which is spot on.

Other notable mentions: Glum, Whim, Mirtzapine, Love Me Different & Discovery Channel ('you and me baby aint nothing but mammals so lets do it like they do on the discovery channel' 😋
 
Naughties dance. When apparently the clothing budgets for women in the videos was not very large.


Although having said that, I have gone clubbing with girls who would have considered some of those dancers overdressed.

About that one Call On Me by Eric Prydz, I think I've seen it before, I think I have. So I'd best watch it again - just to be sure you.

There she was on the school bus, going home then they played the record by the group she was in on the radio she was holding.

Just in case you can't hear the words properly, turn up the volume. You might not be able to hear the words properly but it does sound good!



Consider what was renowned as a garage band until their first release went to the top of the charts



Not bad for some 15 year olds who were still at school

I loved Silverchair up until Diorama. Great band.

Was Diorama the medication you took . . . tee hee!
Borderlands 4 dropped, and the opening cinematic song has really been stuck in my head ever since I started the game.


Nice to see a smaller artist get a headline feature like that.
