Faith seems to be the most popular choice, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that Nina's role was supposed to be expanded in Season 6, possibly bringing Oz in as a sort of mentor, helping her control her wolf. I think that would have been interesting, plus providing Angel, finally, with an actual love interest, as opposed to the "unspoken thing" relationship that he and Cordy had.

I could have gone with Gwen or Faith, but I picked Gwen because I assumed Faith had plenty of votes already. I think a large majority agrees that Gwen being mia for all of season 5 is ridiculous, and she was in After the Fall, so clearly they had storylines left to write for her. (Not that I like her role in ATF but you get the point)

She works well with every cast member she has scenes with, especially Gunn and Angel. Alexa Davalos clearly can act. The show needed more female presence. She has the grey area vibe. Just seeing her on screen makes more people watch. I see no down side.
 
My only concern with Gwen would be they might be tempted to spark a romance with her and Angel with them both being attractive and having special powers etc... But if they rekindled the thing with her and Gunn that could be quite interesting. Would like to see more from Gwen anyway. Nina would be my second choice. Willow third.

I love in After the Fall that Gwen, Nina & Groo are all back in the mix.

Faith deserved her own spinoff. Still so sad/disappointed that Eliza decided to do Tru Calling instead. I really don't know what the hell she was thinking.
 
It would have been cool if they had brought Faith in, but Eliza was busy doing Tru Calling at the time and since she said no to her own spin-off, I feel like it would have been unlikely for her to want to play Faith as a series regular.

I think it would have been great to have Gwen or Kate Lockley back, maybe even Anne. Never warmed up to Nina much and she was never introduced as a "fighter", so I don't know what her potential role in Angel would have been? Constant damsel in distress.

If LA had gone to hell for season six, it would have been a great opportunity to bring Lilah back as a guide through hell for Angel.

That's fair. I think at the time it looked like Eliza was going to become a bigger star than she ended up being. It would be interesting to see what she would do now.

Like the idea of Kate returning (as long as they carried on her direction before she left), just to conclude her character arc. I liked the idea of what they were doing with Nina, but she was just underwritten.

It would be interesting to see Kate react to Angel running Wolfram and Hart. I guess, if Charisma Carpenter had turned down the offer to return for "You're Welcome", they could have brought back Kate with the same function. Though with Cordelia, it certainly seemed more personal (and the beautiful end for Cordelia in You're Welcome made me less mad about the way they wrote her out at the end of season four).

I thought Nina was likeable, but rather bland. It was fun for Angel to have a "girlfriend" that was not an epic love of a lifetime story.
 
It would be Andrew, the actor's a made man in the Whedon Troupe. Granted, he would have pushed back the cause of gay rights by 18 months, but that's the price you pay for showbiz.
 
Faith is a no brainer for me. But I also liked Nina a lot, and would have liked to see what would happen between her and "Angel" if she'd gotten to stay around.
 
Oh, that's right. Clare Kramer did state in a recent interview she was hoping her work on Buffy would lead to a regular role so... Glory joins the Scoobies? I don't see how she would be any different than Anya, except maybe better in a fight. I could see it, but I don't see the purpose.

I wouldn't have been against it. I was a Glory fan and thought Kramer was great in the role. Depends on the writing. Having been the BB for S5 its hard to see how you can bring Glory back as one of the goodies afterwards.

They find a way to kill Glory without killing Ben. However, there is side effect: Ben can't change back to his male body and has to start living as a woman. After Tara's death, GloryBen and Willow grow closer, as they bond over having been threats to the world.

Gwen is definitely my pick. I'd be happy with Nina too though. But I needed more Gwen.
 
I'd say either Faith or Gwen. We didn't get as much of Gwen though, so my vote goes for her. I was pleased when she turned up in the comics, but I'd sacrifice all Buffyverse comics for a season six of Angel.
 
I haven't read any of the comics but a lot of what I've seen on the buffy wiki pages sounds great to me.

Spike and Ilirya forming an alliance

Gwen hooking up with Connor

Nina working along side them and eventually marries someone and Angel accepts it.

and Gunn pretty much becomes the major villian until time is reversed by the Powers that be after he kills Angel by request among other things.

Wish I could watch all of this unfold.

I don't know about this one. I think Connor's plot was done and was given a nice conclusion in season 5. Some of the other ideas sound good though🙂

But if they weren't ending the show they might have written his part a bit different I'd imagine. According to the wiki page:

When the Senior Partners sent Los Angeles to Hell, every single memory Connor had ever had were restored. This did not cause Connor to revert to his old self however, as he also now remembered how much Angel had loved him and fought for him as a baby. Connor began going through something of an identity crisis, being torn between what his three fathers had taught him. He encountered Kate Lockley, who saved him from a group of demon warriors, and told him something Angel had told her, "if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do". Her words inspired Connor to do his best to help people in Hell.

Very true! It could have been my natural bias against Connor coming through also, ha!
