Starting Season 2 and theres some great lines
Angel "Do you have any idea how hard it is to think with a rebar through your torso"
Cordelia "Actually I do, benefits of a Sunnydale education" 😂😂
Lilah on the phone "of course you should read it through. Just remember if you don't sign, we'll kill your children and sue your arse off ! Just kidding Donald, nobody wants a lawsuit" 😂

Judgement- Enjoyable and an interesting idea of Angel killing the wrong person but the whole Jousting in LA is really goofy. Still that Faith Cameo is awesome 7/10

Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been - Honestly even if you've not watched Angel, make an effort to see this episode. Its just so good. Angel in the 50s 10 out 10

First Impressions- Enjoyable but not great, its obvious this was an experiment of a Gunn/Cordy Romance which the writers clearly saw didn't work and dropped but still enjoyable. 7/10

Untouched - A Joss Whedon Episode in all but name. Mere Smith admits the only scene thats hers is the Lilah scene at the end, everything else is Joss. Some really good stuff in here. Touches on the sensitive topic of Parental abuse 9/10

Joan the Vampire Slayer
Joan the Vampire Slayer
Lilah is great.
So more episodes
Dear Boy - Great flashback to when Angel turns Drusilla and confronts Darla in the present. Also love 2 groups of humans fighting over how to worship a demon. Very real life actually.
Great line
Darla "God doesn't want you ...but I still do"

Guise Will Guise - The fake Swami teaching Angel while Wesley pretending to be Angel is hilarious. When he's forced to drink blood
"Dear God that's... nummy" 😂

Darla - The Crossover episode with Fool For Love. It tells the same story from 2 different perspectives. The first is Spikes and this is Angels. So if you see Angel in the Boxer Rebellion, Spike thinks Angel is just jealous he killed a Slayer. Yet when you see it from Angels side, he's newly ensouled and horrified at what happened.
Also one of DB's best bits of acting towars the end with Julie Benz Darla whose begging him to make her a Vampire again.
Darla "now its time to return the favour"
A horrified Angel "favour you think you did me favour, you damned me!"

@Joan the Vampire Slayer @silvermoon @SavvyScoobie @DeepBlueJoy @NotASlayer
So Im on Reunion one of the all time great Angel/Buffy episodes
Drusilla "I saw you coming my lovely, the moon told me, it told me to come into the 20th Century"
Angel "Its the 21st Century Dru" 😂😂
Post automatically merged:

Drusilla to Lilah "You have beautiful skin"
Lilah "I moisturise"
Drusilla "That was very thoughtful of you" 😄

THANK YOU FOR reminding me how much i loved Angel... it was actually the reason i watched Buffy. I ignored the show when it came out, b/c of the movie ads for the original movie... they were so reductive and so silly. 'slutty the vampire slayer' ugh. Even the movie (which isn't that good) is waaaaay better than the sexist drivel that was supposed to bring people to the theatres... Anyway, I fell in love with Angel, Cordelia and Doyle.. and eventually Wes and Gunn... and I decided i needed back story. The first 3 seasons of Angel really were great.

So I finished Redefinition
Like Passion, it has a voice over, this time Angel rather than Angelus.
But whereas those enhance Passion as an episode, these really drag the episode down. Watching Angel do push ups while talking about getting the moves is so cheesy. Its a shame as there's good stuff in the episode thats ruined by them
Oh well. The first half of Angel Season 2 is done and storywise its one of the best runs of either show, while 3 episodes are genuine 10/10 that should be watched

So carrying on the rewatch

Blood Ties - Introduced Anne this time on Angel. Not the greatest episode but watchable

Happy Anniversary- The whole Angel takes for a beer the Guy who tried to freeze his girlfriend in time because she was gonna break up with him has not aged well. The flip side is the Angel/Host scenes are great

Thin Dead Line - Urghh this just doesn't work. Wesley should definitely have bled to death from that gun shot wound. The highlight is Kate crying with relief that her Father has not been raised as a Zombie.

Reprise - Brilliant episode. Holland Manners and the Elevator ride to hell is fantastic TV. @hoponlilmama what Angel does to Darla is disturbing

Epiphany- Great episode and its hilarious that Angel is apologising to Lindsey as he's beating him up.
The only real issues are the Those Lawyers were going to die anyway line. That was such a cop out and unescessary
Plus he can cure Kates suicide attempt by putting her under the shower ??

The biggest problem I have with him locking the door on the lawyers is that he doesn't just do it to lawyers.

There are spouses in there. Maybe they know the truth, maybe they don't. I'll point out that Holland's own wife didn't know better than to invite two strange women in. And while some say she thought they were party guests, anyone in the know would know to "invite" them in without actually inviting.

Then there are the caterers. There are at least two that get locked in there. Could they be WRH employees? Maybe. But 1) Angel DOESN'T know that and 2) it doesn't automatically mean they know everything that's going on.

So yeah, he may have locked innocents in there. And even if they WEREN'T innocents he didn't bother to find out.

Completely agree and the writers basically did a giant cop out over it which they didn't need to do imo
