Why are some in here excusing Joss' bad behavior because because he grew up in an abusive home? So do alot of people, and still manage to be decent adults.

Mature adults get therapy and take accountability for their behavior.

LOL couldn't be clearer. I was just pointing out that it definitely helped shape it as he grew up in a house where humiliating people for not being entertaining and creating cliques was the norm and he had canonized his mother as a saint and a hero because of the creepy political cult he was indoctrinated into. However the fact that he now sees his parents behavior as abnormal after therapy suggests he may have changed as a person, even if he still sadly can't face the reality that he became a bully like them.

What was the relationship of his parents with his brothers. Was it similar with them too ?

Look I think he should be uncancelled but that doesn't mean he's not a narcissist or he wasn't a dick and bully or that should be somehow white washed or ignored.

Like I said with the failed reboot. Trying to remake a Joss Whedon show with his creation without Joss Whedon was always going to fail. Even with him I'm not sure it would've worked

They haven't really spoken up, but the word is that the parents pitted them against each other and Joss being the youngest or one of the youngest was the one who got the worst treatment. They all basically turned on him.

Again I'm not defending Joss's behavior, I'm just analysing why it happened and saying hopefully he has changed. Before he had a creepy adoration of his mother, calling her amazing, brave, inspirational and ehm "sexy". He said that right in the peak of his narcissistic awful phase where he was basically doing the same thing to his cast that his parents did to him.

The fact that he now views his mother and father as being pretty awful people again shows that he must have at least a bit more self awareness now than then?

Btw Jed and Zack (he wrote for the super good show Halt and Catch Fire) mom died recently.

Joss dad, Tom (TV writer, even head writer at Golden Girls), divorced Joss mom and went to L.A. and he married to a fellow colleague and had Jed and Zack.

This falls into bottom of the barrel celebrity gossip and doesn't really add anything new to the Whedon scandal stuff. I'm dubious its true anyway. If it is their both adults, and can do what they want. Their romantic lives is just that their romantic life.
