Okay, so recently in my game of "Follow the actor", Summer Glau edition, I watched the show Terminator: The Sarah Conor Chronicles, Which was incredibly fun after having never seen a terminator movie (I had to fill in a lot of blanks. It took me a long time to understand why the whiny teenaged boy was so important).
It's a pretty enjoyable show, and though it can take itself rather seriously at some points, eventually you forget it's weird to be talking about robots from the future sent to kill teeneaged boys, their moms, and their pet robots who are just doing their best.
Well, surprise, surprise, Cameron (Summer Glau) is my favorite, possible just because she is familiar, or also quite possible because while everyone else is emoting into the camera, she's over in the corner cradling baby turtles and never blinking. I just find that hilarious.
I do notice tho, everyone just, like, decides not to trust her? I mean, sure, she did try and kill a lot of people...once or twice, but when she isn't in destroy mode, especially in season 2, I just find it hilarious that she's just doing her best, and everyone is always like "SHE LOOKS SHIFTY LET'S BURN HER". Like, even when she's done literally nothing. Everyone is always like "Remember last year when she almost killed us, lol what if that happens again".
Also, more in season 1, I think it's hilarious that she poses as John's sister, but whenever "their" mom (Sarah) is asked about her, she's like "Yeah, I don't really care about Cameron, she's fine". Like, several times, Cameron has been called into the counceling office, or when they went to the family therapist, and the councelors/therapist is like "I don't think your daughter is okay????" Sarah is always like "Shhhh, no, I wanna talk about John".
I'm closing in on the end of the show, and I'm currently at the part where....John has just suffered a loss (to avoid spoilers) and Cameron has that weird twitchy hand thing going on. I dunno what's gonna happen, but I gotta say, everyone but John hates Cameron right now, and I dunno how they'll get around that.
On a completely seperate note, I find the plotline surrounding Cameron really interesting, and I'm sad it seems they won't explore it very much more. The whole concept of what is means to be human...I love it when shows do that. The end of the Ballet episode was really really creepy and cool, and unfortunately I feel like they might not have time to really give that plotline any more time, because they have the main plot to address.
Anyways, now that I've said my piece, anyone else seen the show? Thoughts???
